Government Agriculture
The Agricultural sector is often plagued by birds, sometimes exotic species like “Snowbirds” and Gulls that come in for an “easy meal”. At this facility fish were being experimentally bred to determine ifa commercial fishing industry could be sustained. Unfortunately birds came in a decimated the fish before any realistic figures could be established. Hot Foot was called in and arranged to install total bird exclusion netting around all sides of the facility to prevent the “free loaders” from taking any more easy meals. As there was an existing wire mesh security fence in place, hot Foot suggested that their netting system be overlaid where possible so that no changes had to be made to the wire system. The netting was overlaid on the opening doors as well as the fixed structure so people could walk in and out without needing to disturb the bird netting.
Trout and Salmon Hatcheries
Trout and salmon are raised for release at specific times of the year and this happens by raising the fish from tiny fingerlings up to mature adults. Unfortunately the tanks are open to the sky and predator birds quickly spot an easy meal.
The size of the enclosure is no problem to Hot Foot. In cases where very large structures exist, Hot Foot can manufacture large cut-to-size nets tailor made to an exact fit. Cross cables are installed for additional support and allow access to individual areas if desired.
